The Super Cup is set to revert back to its old format, held this past season, in spite of AIFF’s plans to change things. The competition was expected to be held parallel to the ISL this season, but budget constraints have seemingly forced the authorities to go back to the old format.
As a result, clubs have been informed that there will be a window between March and May 2025 where the fixtures for the Super Cup will be played.

This past season, the entire tournament was held in Odisha, with East Bengal coming out on top over the hosts in a dramatic final. It earned them a shot to qualify for the group stage of the AFC Champions League 2, but they failed to make it through and are now playing the AFC Challenge Cup.
The 2024-25 season of the ISL is set to kick off on 13 September 2024 and will run till 5 May 2025, tentatively. So far, only the fixtures for the first half of the season have been announced till the end of 2024.
As a result, it remains to be seen how the AIFF organises the Super Cup next year amidst the final stage of the ISL.
When will AIFF confirm Super Cup dates?
Tentatively in 2025
