Sumit’s performance was so dominant that even his “weaker” throws would have secured him the gold. His third throw measured 66.66 meters, and despite a foul on his fourth attempt, he bounced back with throws of 69.04 meters and 66.57 meters in his fifth and sixth attempts, respectively. No other competitor came close to breaching the 70 meter mark, with Sri Lanka’s Kodithuwakku Dulan securing silver with a throw of 67.03 meters and Australia’s Michal Burian taking bronze with a best of 64.89 meters.
