Strikerz Inc. releases UFL Journey Episode 4 showcasing the Backend

Strikerz Inc. has released the latest episode of UFL Journey, dedicated to exploring the crucial role of the game’s backend in UFL’s development, has been released. In video games, the backend refers to the background processes that are vital to how the game works, especially for online play. In the video, the developers at Strikerz Inc. share their insights on the work of the teams and how matchmaking, in-game purchases, club customisation (kits, stadiums, etc), data processing and server load management come together to create a seamless experience for the user in UFL. 

Nowadays, a game’s backend serves as the invisible structure that powers online gaming experiences. The backend encompasses a comprehensive set of online services that facilitate seamless player interactions, including matchmaking, finding opponents, and managing meta-gameplay elements. Furthermore, it ensures the reliability and stability of connection quality for an optimal gaming experience. 

One of the primary responsibilities of the Backend team is to ensure that users from all over the world can effortlessly connect and interact with each other. This process is complex and complicated. This involves managing service load, storing and processing vast amounts of data, and preserving user information in an online mode.  The UFL’s backend team works tirelessly to maintain a smooth gaming environment and guarantee flawless performance, even under heavy user traffic.

“The backend is a set of online services that enable users to connect and engage with one another,” said Dmitry Zavadskiy, Project Manager at Strikerz Inc. 

The episode also delves into the metagame, which encompasses the development of internal tools, technologies, and mechanics. Oleg Strokachuk, Backend Solution  Architect, describes how all these crucial elements fit together within the metagame as well as explains the principles of dedicated servers, how they work, and their advantages. 

Strikerz Inc.’s team are excited to shed light on the importance of the backend and how it enhances UFL’s overall gaming experience. Throughout the episode, the 

team provides viewers with a window into the intricate workings behind the scenes and how every tiny part of the process comes together to create the whole video game product – UFL. UFL has been in development since 2016. The game will be available for free with new features, and updates added regularly with no mandatory payments or yearly fees. The game is designed to be a fair-to-play experience emphasizing a skill-first approach with zero pay-to-win options.
