Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s blockbuster romantic horror film ‘Stree 2’ has gotten a huge response from the audience. Stree was one of the most successful films of 2018. It took five years, and the film has been renewed. Amar Kaushik directed and Dinesh Vijan produced the horror comedy. Stree 2 will be released on 15th August.
At the Infinite Together event by Jio Studios on April 12th, Dinesh, along with Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, made a notable announcement.

About Stree!
The ghost of the woman who the locals refer to as “Stree” is the central theme of the horror movie. The real story is based on Nale Ba. In the film, the story of Stree has been written about the small town of Madhya Pradesh, Chanderi. We have seen that the lady ghost spirit comes to Chanderi each year for the festive season and takes one man after 10 p.m. at night. For that, the residents start to write on their wall, ‘O Stree, Kal Aana (O Stree, Come Tomorrow).’
Stree 2- Official Release Date Announced
Stree 2 returns along with the star cast of Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee. The film is slated to hit on 15th August, 2024.
The same was declared at Jio Studios’ Infinite Together event. The cast took the stage and enacted a skit to announce the 2024 release date. In the skit, they prayed that ‘Stree’ wouldn’t return. However, Shraddha reminds people that she is the ghostly figure and is all set to scare Rajkumar’s Vicky.
Interestingly, Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya 2 was also announced at the event. Dinesh also revealed that Maddock Films is working on a vampire-themed film as part of the horror-comedy universe. The shooting for Stree 2 has already been started in March 2023.
