On Tuesday, i.e. 11th July 2023, The production team made an official announcement that revealed the commencement of filming for Stree 2. They also unveiled the movie’s theme, which is different from its predecessor. While the prequel carried the message ‘O stree kal aana,’ the sequel has replaced it with ‘O stree raksha karna.’
In the eerie video unveiled by the creators, a somber and desolate road in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh is depicted. Along the road, a poster can be seen affixed to a wall, bearing the word ‘missing,’ accompanied by several attached photographs.
Subsequently, the theme is revealed as “sarkate ka aatank” (the terror of decapitation), portrayed by a haunting silhouette of a hand clutching a severed head in the background.
Along with the video, the makers wrote, “Ek baar phir Chanderi mein phaila aatank! Stree 2 filming begins! Aa rahi hai woh – August 2024!”
The announcement triggered an immediate frenzy among fans, causing the comment section to overflow with love and excitement. Fans expressed their anticipation with comments such as “Can’t wait,” “Nice teaser,” “Naari Shakti,” “O Shraddha, come quickly with Stree 2,” “Goosebumps,” “Woooohoooooo,” and many more.
