Strange Things season 4 is an upcoming series of the American science fiction horror drama TV series. It is produced by Duffer Brothers along with Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Lain Paterson. It seems that it will be released on Netflix in 2022. The production of the series has started and it is still running and yet to wrap. This series does not need any further introduction as it has been one of the biggest hits on Netflix. The first season was released in the year 2016.
Renewal Status
The fans of the Stranger Things have waited for a little longer time, but there were some hints that their patience would be rewarded very soon. The series is one of Netflix’s most successful, and the Duffer brothers’ creation had more than 40 million households turning in during its first few days on the streaming site, and as many as 18 million fans have already watched every episode released so far.
But the wait for Season 4 has been long, although executive producer Shawn Levy has said that the newest season is set to come “quite soon”.
“It also happens to be the season that we chose to go much bigger,” Levy told Variety. “I shot in Lithuania right before the pandemic. We have filmed in Georgia, Lithuania and New Mexico, so suffice to say Season 4 is sprawling.
“It’s visually and narratively very ambitious – much more ambitious than the prior three seasons.”

Expectations from the Stranger Things Season 4
As Hopper’s body has not seen disintegrated by the outburst of power from the Russian’s machine but assumed for the worst. It seems that Hopper must have used the opening of the world created by the machine to jump from Hawkins to Kamchatka and then ended up being caught by Russians. There is only one chance left for Hopper to escape which is he has to use the machine and return his journey to the USA.
The Byers and Eleven have moved to pastures new after bidding goodbye to their friends. Eleven has made it clear that they will talk and meet up by visiting them as soon as they can. Mike will visit the Byers for giving thanks, Joyce will be asked to stay with Mike for Christmas if she can. It is expected that the new season will be based on Christmas. The return of Jonathan to Hawkins would be cross their relationship with Nancy Wheeler.
Release Date
The fingers were crossed that a major announcement would have been made on 6th May, as the teasing trailer videos were hinting that something was going to come i.e. the season 4. But unfortunately, it was just a teaser for another teaser and it was a false hope for the fans. The only thing that we have derived from the teaser is that a character who seemed to be killed is still very much alive.
Now, an announcement around the new season’s release date is imminent. David Harbour who plays the role of Jim Hopper has said to Jimmy Kimmel that the production would wrap up in August 2021. As a result, Collider has reported that season 4 is expected to release at the end of 2021 or most probably at the beginning of the year 2022.
