Stefan Bajcetic is set to join RB Salzburg on loan from Liverpool for the 24-25 season. The midfielder had interest from Barcelona over the past few days, but they weren’t able to go through with the move due to Financial Fair Play issues.
Now, the 18-year-old is set to join the Austrian club to get more game time under his belt and earn some invaluable experience through consistent action. Salzburg will also be playing in the Champions League, which offers the youngster an additional level of exposure.

The move agreed between the two clubs is for a straight loan deal, with no option to buy. As a result, the Spaniard will be returning to Merseyside next summer when his loan spell is complete.
He is seen as a prospect for the future for Liverpool, but will not be able to get ample playing time with the senior squad at the moment. As a result, the move to Salzburg will hopefully give him some momentum to enhance his skills. He has shown glimpses of his qualities as a defensive midfielder, but consistency is the deciding factor when it comes to football.
With the transfer deadline fast approaching on Friday evening, the two clubs will have to speed up their business to ensure that the formalities are completed and the player is registered in time.
