Stefan Bajcetic is likely to join RB Salzburg from Liverpool on a loan deal. The youngster had interest from Barcelona in the last few hours as well. However, the Spanish side’s problems with financial fair play rules has prevented them from completing a move for the player.
Salzburg are hopeful of completing the deal on Thursday, provided Barcelona can’t make a final advance to sign the youngster.

“We didn’t expect Barça to enter the race… we have all ready to go to Salzburg. But we still don’t have any info on what’s gonna happen”.
“I’d like Stefan to play for a top club like Barça or same Liverpool, he’s ready for top clubs”, Bajcetic’s father told RAC1.
The 19-year-old has been highly rated as a top prospect for the future. However, with Liverpool’s ambitions and stacked midfield, it seems unlikely that he will get a lot of playing time. As a result, a loan move was important for him to continue developing.
Barcelona recently lost Marc Bernal to an ACL injury, and with the move for Stefan Bajcetic also infeasible, they will have to look elsewhere to reinforce their midfield. On the other hand, Bajcetic could take his game up a level by joining Salzburg.
