New Star Wars Outlaws Patch Drops Forced Stealth Missions; DLC Now Available
There are some major tweaks to this game stealth and combat. Now players are allowed to play the way they want with a choice of stealth or fighting even in syndicate-controlled city areas. Better enemy artificial intelligence and detection systems inform players when they are about to be seen, giving them time to either exit stealth and fight or alter their approach as needed to remain concealed. Finally, although this is more of a combat mechanic than a world phenomenon, the new weak points on enemies allow for much better strategic play but also some hilarious moments.
Finally, Kay’s blaster and some weapon updates are reworked to make combat free-flowing, including a more frequent carrying of two-handed weapons. The update also tackles previous issues with character design and animation. Increased detail level for facial expressions and animations in dialogue scenes and a new toggle option has been added to disable the cinematic lens. More noticeably, distant lighting effects have been more strongly introduced.
This is only a selection of the numerous changes featured in this update, which are outlined in full patch notes. In Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card, which launched earlier this week, players can pick up the story with Kay tasked with penetrating a high-stakes Sabacc tourney. It can be purchased with the Season Pass or as a standalone story pack.
