The gameplay for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was officially revealed at The Game Awards 2022, and EA wasted no time in starting preorders for the highly anticipated videogame. There are three versions of the game available, including an expensive collector’s edition that all Star Wars fans will want to get their hands on. In terms of the game itself, it tries to improve on nearly everything that made the original so memorable. This contains new graphics, a darker tale, improved combat, and Cal Kestis’s stunning new facial hair.
Every purchase includes the Jedi Survival Cosmetic Pack. This set comprises three Obi-Wan Kenobi-inspired items: the Hermit Cosmetic for Cal, the Combustion Blaster skin, and the Hermit Lightsaber skin. There haven’t been any retailer-exclusive benefits announced yet, but keep an eye out for news in the coming months.
The Scoundrel, Rebel Hero, and Hermit are the three pre-order packages in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
The Han Solo and Luke Skywalker-inspired packs will be included in the Deluxe Edition of Survivor, while Obi-Wan Kenobi’s hermit style, complete with weapon and cosmetic skins, will be included in Jedi: Survivor’s Standard Edition. Regardless of how beautiful these cosmetics appear, they allude to a lack of imagination in Cal Kestis’ style.
Cal’s visual identity suffers as a result of him wearing the outfits and wielding the weapons of arguably cooler Star Wars heroes. Even the new lightsaber type revealed in the official teaser, which debuted at The Game Awards 2022, is influenced by Kylo Ren, with the crossguard hilt originally seen in The Force Awakens. This is proof of another well-known character being utilized as inspiration to make Cal more distinct, yet it just serves to highlight his lack of originality. However, We’ll find out more about this when the game officially launches on March 17th, 2023.
