## What Happened in Episode 3?

Episode 3, *“Bad Dancer,”* delivered the season’s most shocking revelation yet. Valya is the spy giving the Americans vital information — a revelation that alters our entire understanding of his past actions. This changes the game completely. Someone Tanya trusted, someone woven into the inner circle of the Soviet space programme, has been feeding intelligence to the enemy. The episode also saw Irina get closer to Tanya — now we know that proximity may be part of a very calculated surveillance operation.

## What to Expect in Episode 4 — “Dark Forest”

The official Apple TV+ synopsis confirms two key threads: Fame begins to take its toll on Anastasia, while Irina tracks a crucial lead. [Apple TV](https://tv.apple.com/us/show/star-city/umc.cmc.2l8p785osmtmiyk64bh6tfde1)

Anastasia’s story has been building toward something cracking under the pressure of state-manufactured celebrity — being thrust onto the world stage as a Soviet hero is one thing, sustaining it while a spy operation plays out around you is another entirely. Episode 4 looks like the moment that weight becomes unbearable.

For Irina, the Rotten Tomatoes logline hints that she will be tackling a new lead — and given the big reveal in Episode 3, there is a strong chance this lead has a direct connection to American interference. Valya and Tanya are likely to have an argument about their interaction, meaning Irina has direct, unfiltered access to listen in while they are unaware. That is an enormously dangerous situation for everyone involved.

*Star City* and its dark espionage saga, paired with harsh life inside the Soviet space programme’s clandestine headquarters encircled by concrete and razor wire, is a bold new chapter inspired by *For All Mankind* — and one of the most atmospheric Cold War dramas on streaming right now.
