Champions League knockout stage : Spurs Win Over Real Madrid at Wembley
Tottenham topped their group and sealed passage into the Champions League knockout stages as Dele Alli inspired a 3-1 win over Real Madrid on a magical night at Wembley. On a night where the Champions League holders were well off the pace, Spurs humiliated the European champions. Although this was only a group stage encounter it will live in the memory of the Spur’s fans for many, many years to come.
They haven’t just beaten Real Madrid, becoming the first team to win a group game against the EURO CHAMPS since 2012, but simply they’ve outplayed them.
