A prosecutor terrified of ghosts and a chaebol heiress who can see them — tvN’s newest occult romance is setting up a wonderfully chaotic pairing, and the first preview clip proves it.’

### What Spooky In Love Shows?

The newly released sneak peek from “Spooky in Love” opens with prosecutor Ma Gang Wook (Yang Se Jong) arriving at a luxury hotel, visibly awed by its grand exterior. The clip then flashes back to explain how he ended up there — an investigation into a specific pair of sneakers leads him to discover that the buyer is none other than Cheon Yeo Ri (Park Eun Bin), a reclusive chaebol heiress and CEO of the country’s top luxury hotel chain. Since she avoids public appearances entirely, his colleague warns him that showing up without a warrant means he’ll likely be turned away at the door.

### The Premise

“Spooky in Love” reimagines the 2011 film “Spellbound” as a romance drama centered on a hotel heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who’s terrified of them. Their chaotic partnership promises to blend supernatural comedy with slow-burn romantic tension as their worlds inevitably collide.

Occult romance as a subgenre has become increasingly popular in Korean television, often mixing horror-adjacent premises with lighthearted comedic pacing ([Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_drama)).

Both leads bring proven track records to the table — Park Eun Bin from acclaimed roles like “Do You Like Brahms?” and Yang Se Jong from fan-favorites like “Thirty But Seventeen” — setting high expectations for this upcoming pairing.
