**Prabhas** and director **Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s** highly anticipated cop thriller *Spirit* is facing another casting setback. Following **Deepika Padukone’s** exit from the project, reports suggest that another prominent actor has also walked away, raising questions about the film’s production timeline and ensemble cast.

## Spirit: What We Know So Far

## Why Are Actors Leaving Spirit?

While official reasons haven’t been disclosed, industry insiders point to several possible factors:

**Scheduling Conflicts**: With Prabhas juggling multiple big-budget projects including *Salaar 2* and *Raja Saab*, coordinating dates with A-list actors becomes challenging. According to [film industry sources](https://www.bollywoodhungama.com/), such conflicts are common in pan-India productions.

**Script Changes**: Sandeep Reddy Vanga is known for his meticulous approach to storytelling. Potential script revisions might have altered character arcs, prompting actors to reconsider their commitments.

**Timeline Extensions**: The film’s ambitious scale and VFX requirements could have pushed production timelines, clashing with actors’ other commitments.

## Deepika’s Exit: The First Blow

**Deepika Padukone** was initially rumored to play the female lead opposite Prabhas. Her exit, attributed to scheduling issues and creative differences, sent shockwaves through the industry. The [Prabhas-Deepika pairing](https://technosports.co.in/entertainment/bollywood-south-collaborations/) would have been a box office magnet, given their pan-India appeal.

Following her pregnancy and focus on selective projects post-motherhood, Deepika prioritizes roles that align with her schedule and artistic vision.

## Who’s the Latest Exit?

While names haven’t been officially confirmed, trade analysts speculate it could be a prominent character actor or supporting lead. The production team has maintained silence, though sources suggest announcements about replacement casting will come soon.

## What Makes Spirit Special?

Despite casting hurdles, *Spirit* remains one of the most anticipated projects. Here’s why:

- **Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Vision**: After *Arjun Reddy*, *Kabir Singh*, and *Animal*, Vanga’s directorial prowess commands massive expectations
- **Prabhas’s Cop Avatar**: The pan-India star has never played a police officer, making this a fresh avatar
- **High Production Values**: The film promises intense action sequences and cutting-edge VFX, typical of [big-budget Indian cinema](https://technosports.co.in/movies/pan-india-films/)

According to [Box Office India](https://www.boxofficeindia.com/), the Prabhas-Vanga combination alone guarantees substantial opening numbers.

## What’s Next?

The production team is actively scouting replacements. Given the film’s pan-India appeal, expect announcements featuring top-tier talent from Bollywood, Tollywood, or regional cinema.
