tvN’s **100 Days of Deception** has released fresh stills of its supporting cast, and the characters look as layered as the plot. Directed by Yoo In Shik of *Extraordinary Attorney Woo* and the *Dr. Romantic* series, it’s a spy romance set over 100 days in 1932 Gyeongseong, during the [Japanese occupation of Korea](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korea_under_Japanese_rule).

## Who’s Who in Gyeongseong

| Actor | Character | Role in the story |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Lee Ki Young | Kim Seung Eok | Owner of Joil Textile and a prominent pro-Japanese collaborator |
| Choi Duk Moon | Kwak Woon Hak | Korean medicine practitioner by day, Gugukdan member by night |
| Seo Jeong Yeon | Ryu Gwan Sil (Yanagi) | Korean housekeeper in the Sato household |
| Kim Do Hyun | Suzuki | English interpreter for the Government-General who handles foreign media |
| Kim In Kwon | Han Cheol Ryong | One of the oldest Gugukdan members |

## Why These Characters Stand Out in 100 Days of Deception?

**Lee Ki Young** plays a doting father with a dark side. Kim Seung Eok adores his daughter Myung Nam (Park Jung Yeon), yet he plans to use her marriage to serve his own ambitions.

**Choi Duk Moon** may be the heart of the show. His clinic mostly treats Korean patients who can’t afford care, so he lives modestly while quietly fighting for the resistance.

**Seo Jeong Yeon** gets a quieter but important role. She raised Sato Hideo (Park Jinyoung) and his younger sister, and they trust her more than their own father.

The production team says the drama portrays characters “according to their class and status” within one setting, from the Government-General to the shantytown where Lee Ga Kyeong (Kim You Jung) lives.
