Marvel loves a good mystery, and Sadie Sink’s role in **Spider-Man: Brand New Day** has been one of the tightest-kept ones yet. Now, days before release, director Destin Daniel Cretton has finally cracked the door open — and what he shared makes the wait feel worth it.

Speaking about the *Stranger Things* star, Cretton didn’t hold back. He revealed her character brings a striking mix of grit and softness, describing moments where she plays scenes with a raw intensity that jumps off the screen. High praise — and a big tease — for a role Marvel has guarded closely.

## A Reunion Years in the Making

Turns out, this isn’t Cretton and Sink’s first collaboration. Long before Hawkins, Indiana made her a household name, the two worked together on the biographical drama *The Glass Castle*, where Sink played the younger version of a role later carried by Sarah Snook. Cretton recalled the moment Sink told him she’d just been cast in a new series called *Stranger Things* — with neither of them knowing what it would become.
