The coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc on the world. The whole world came to a standstill in 2020, but now things have slowly started to get back to normal.

The European Championship was supposed to be held in 2020 but was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

UEFA has now declared that the matches of the Euro 2021 will be played with spectators in the stadiums.

Eight of the host cities for Euro 2021 have had their schedules rubberstamped and are as follows:

  • 100% capacity: Budapest (subject to strict entry requirements)
  • 50%: Baku, St Petersburg (subject to negative COVID-19 test)
  • 25-33%: Amsterdam, Bucharest, Copenhagen, Glasgow (the capacity for the former three may rise)
  • 25%: London (this is a minimum and may rise for semi-finals and/or final)

However, it is unclear as yet what the plan will be for the other four venues. Munich, Rome, Bilbao and Dublin have until April 19 to provide additional information on their plans before they can be guaranteed games as planned.
