Spain have earned a spot in the Euro 2024 final, defeating France 2-1 in Munich to maintain their 100% record in this year’s tournament. La Roja quickly fought back from being 1-0 down to win the game by holding on to their one-goal lead.
Randal Kolo Muani scored the opening goal of the game, which happened to be the first goal France have scored from open play in the Euros this time. The PSG striker took a free header at the far post and turned in Kylian Mbappe’s perfect cross from the left wing to give his side the lead.

Lamine Yamal, in his final match as a 16-year-old, produced a moment of pure brilliance when he scored the equaliser for Spain. The Barcelona forward feinted left and found the back of the net with a beautiful curling effort from distance
Within four minutes of Yamal’s goal, Spain were in front after a short from Dani Olmo was turned in by Jules Kounde. Spain had been knocking on the door throughout the first half, and now had a well-deserved lead.
However, Luis de la Fuente’s side didn’t rest on their narrow lead and continued to attack with intensity. Despite getting into some great shooting positions, they simply couldn’t beat Mike Maignan another time.
Mbappe and Theo Hernandez had a number of great opportunities to score from within the box. But, they couldn’t keep their efforts on target to test Unai Simon. And in the end, France were far from their best while Spain have announced their comeback as one of the great football nations of Europe.
