Spain Euro 2024 Squad Revealed: Key veterans make the 26-man squad

Luis de la Fuente has named the Spain Euro 2024 squad that will travel to Germany for the upcoming tournament, starting June 14. The manager has opted for a blend of youth and experience, making some bold calls while announcing his 26-strong shortlist.

Barca’s Pau Cubarsi has been left out alongside Atletico Madrid’s Marcos Llorente and Aleix Garcia, in spite of a brilliant season. On the other hand, Ayoze Perez has been given a surprising call-up, after his goal and assist against Andorra in Spain’s recent 5-0 win. It will be the first major tournament for the Real Betis midfielder, alongside Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez.

Spain Euro 2024 Squad: Final list revealed

Goalkeepers: Alex Remiro (Real Sociedad), David Raya (Arsenal), Unai Simon (Athletic Bilbao)

Defenders: Aymeric Laporte (Al Nassr), Robin Le Normand (Real Sociedad), Alex Grimaldo (Bayer Leverkusen), Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid), Dani Vivian (Athletic Bilbao), Jesus Navas (Sevilla), Nacho (Real Madrid), Marc Cucurella (Chelsea)

Midfielders: Mikel Merino (Real Sociedad), Fabian Ruiz (PSG), Alex Baena (Villarreal), Martin Zubimendi (Real Sociedad), Rodrigo (Manchester City), Pedri (Barcelona), Fermin (Barcelona)
