On the evening of February 25, 2024, SpaceX successfully launched its mission of the year from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, in Florida. This mission involved sending 24 Starlink internet satellites into space showcasing SpaceX’s efforts to enhance internet coverage.

The launch took place at 5:06 p.m. EST (22:06 GMT) as a Falcon 9 rocket gracefully soared into the sky from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC 40) at Cape Canaveral. SpaceX’s recent event underscored their commitment to expanding the Starlink constellation and ensuring internet access.

Following liftoff the Falcon 9’s first stage successfully returned to Earth landing vertically on the SpaceX droneship named A Shortfall of Gravitas in the Atlantic Ocean after 8.5 minutes. This accomplishment showcased SpaceX’s prowess in rocket technology with this particular booster achieving its landing including multiple missions focused on deploying Starlink satellites.

Simultaneously, the rocket’s upper stage completed its task by placing 24 Starlink satellites into Earth orbit an hour post-launch. These satellites are intended to enhance internet connectivity and support SpaceX’s vision of fostering a world.

This Sunday marked SpaceX’s launch of 2024 signaling the beginning of a series of planned missions for the year. The company aims to conduct a total of 144 launches in the months underscoring their commitment to pushing boundaries in space exploration and satellite deployment.

In weeks SpaceX has achieved milestones with its Falcon 9 launches. Particularly noteworthy was the deployment of the telecom satellite, Merah Putih 2, on February 20th—an achievement that marked the Falcon 9 rocket’s historic 300th successful liftoff. In a Starlink launch, on February 22 SpaceX achieved a milestone by completing the 19th flight of the first stage booster of a particular Falcon 9 rocket. This accomplishment highlights SpaceXs commitment to space exploration and ongoing innovation, in the field.
