Adama Traore has been recognised as the fastest player in the Premier League overall, but the Spain international has been surpassed this season.
The new number one in the Premier League in terms of performances of the pitch in two matchdays of 21/22 is Southampton player Adam Armstrong. The forward was signed by the Saints this summer, and joined them from Blackburn for £16 million, and scored in his debut for the club against Everton. He clocked in a speed of 22.15 mph while Traore has recorded a top speed of 22.12 mph in the two matchdays this season.Â

Kyle Walker is also one of the fastest players in the league, but has been replaced by Joao Cancelo in the starting lineup for the first few games, and has only played 90 minutes for the defending champions. Mason Greenwood and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are also recognised as one of the quickest, and are yet to break into their full stride this term, and they have 36 more match days to do so.
