Lavery told that at the time of making the documentary they had just wanted to honor Sophie, her family, and also the rural community in West Ireland. After everything she has found things genuinely astonishing about something so terrible might be happened not just with a woman who had appeared with a gilded life but also in such a nice place and to the community which is prided itself on its peacefulness, on its safety, and also inclusivity.
She has also said that it was something that Sophie had drawn there. What was seen to be more tragic, the perfect escape of Sophie that is turned out to be the place where she had lost her life. It had found that after 25 years the shock of it still reverberates that entire community.
On this topic, Dower has said that he is a great believer in the resembling of the film with a huge cast of storytellers as the story never seems to be simple. It needs all of the multiple takes and angles to become richer and more compelling stories. He is also in search of people who living genuinely in the story that they are narrating.
