Sony released its new 2021 BRAVIA XR TVs, and the company is very optimistic about its new television. According to the manufacturer, the TV has enhanced color and contrast thanks to the company’s own high-end, “intelligent” processors, including the new Cognitive Processor XR.
The smart TV also comes with the latest Android-based smart UI and built-in Chromecast functions. The Full-Array LED X92 100-inch unit headlines the line-up.
The price of the smart TV is revealed at US$19,999, which is to say quite excessive. If we compare it with the rest of the TVs, then we have that the MASTER Series Z9J LED TVs are set at $8000 and $10,0000 for their 75- and 85-inch SKUs, respectively. Even Sony’s 85- and 75-inch units are $4,500 and $3000 respectively.
However, all the affordable TVs from the Japanese tech giant will not be available until summer this year. According to sources, the X80J 4K LED SKUs are available now and start at $750 for a 43-inch unit. The X85J LED series (starting at $900) has the X1 4K HDR processor, whereas the X90Js have the newer Cognitive Processor XR.
Soy’s BRAVIA XR A80Js and A90Js feature HDMI 2.1 support and BRAVIA CORE technology. They come in massive 55- to 85-inch sizes and start at $2,300 and $3,000, respectively. Many of Sony’s latest TVs are or will be available with stores such as Amazon or Best Buy throughout the US in 2021.
