## Design Revolution: Goodbye Vertical, Hello Pixel

The most striking change is the horizontal camera module that looks remarkably similar to Google’s Pixel series design language. This pill-shaped camera bar houses the upgraded 50MP Sony Exmor RS main sensor and 13MP ultra-wide lens, delivering a more premium aesthetic than previous Xperia 10 models.

**Design Highlights:**

- **Horizontal camera bar** replacing traditional vertical layout
- **Dedicated camera shutter button** for instant photo access
- **Gorilla Glass Victus 2** protection
- **Three color options**: Charcoal Black, White, and Turquoise

## Features That Others Are Killing Off

While competitors eliminate beloved features, Sony doubles down on user favorites:

### The Headphone Jack Lives On

The 3.5mm headphone jack remains intact, making audiophiles rejoice in an era where most brands force wireless adoption.

### MicroSD Expansion

Storage expands up to 2TB via microSD card, offering unlimited media storage without cloud dependency.

### Two-Day Battery Life

Sony promises approximately two days of battery life from the 5,000mAh cell, backed by adaptive charging technology that prevents degradation over four years.

## Performance & Software Promise

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset paired with 8GB RAM ensures smooth performance for daily tasks. More importantly, Sony commits to six years of security updates and up to four OS version upgrades – exceptional long-term support for a mid-range device.

**AI Integration:**

- **Circle to Search** with Google integration
- **Google Gemini** AI assistant built-in
- **Live conversation** capabilities with real-time responses

## Global Availability & Pricing Strategy

Pre-orders began September 12th with shipping starting September 19th in select markets. At €449, Sony positions the Xperia 10 VII competitively against Samsung Galaxy A55 and Google Pixel 8a.

**Regional Pricing:**

- **Europe**: €449
- **UK**: £399
- **US availability**: Currently unclear

## Bottom Line

The Xperia 10 VII represents Sony’s smartest mid-range strategy yet – embracing modern design trends while preserving features that users actually want. In a market obsessed with removing ports and expandability, Sony’s commitment to headphone jacks and microSD slots could be its secret weapon.

For €449, you’re getting flagship-level display quality, solid performance, and features that premium phones are abandoning. Sometimes, being different is exactly what the market needs.
