As far as we know the WH-1000XM3s came earlier and the XM4 will be a slightly upgraded version of the XM3s. While the XM4 is already been spotted in a Brazilian listing revealing some of its images and specs. The headset will come with an AI real-time upscaling of compressed music files as a new feature addition over the XM3s. In these images, the headphone has a black clour option with pretty solid build quality.
