Sony WH-1000XM5 to launch officially on May 12

The upcoming headphones from Sony dubbed Sony WH-1000XM5 are all set to arrive on May 12. This particular information comes from the Sony UK teaser that says that the WH-1000XM5 will be launched on 12th May at 17:00 BST or 4 PM GMT albeit with no specs available for the same.

About the Sony WH-1000XM5

The Sony WH-1000XM5 leaked specs suggest that the device will have Bluetooth v5.2 and will have a battery life consisting of 30 or 40 hours on a single charge. It is being claimed that the battery will charge from 0 to 100% in 3.5 hours although that remains to be confirmed at the moment. There’s a headphone jack as well. An on/off slider sits onboard instead of an on/off button.

The Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones are expected to arrive with cutting-edge spotless audio technologies along with noise cancellation. The renders showcase a sophisticated design for XM5 although it is yet to be confirmed by the tech juggernaut at least at the time of its launch.

Regarding the Leaks Specifications

There have been many leaks with respect to the WH-1000XM5 such as the one that shows the packaging that it will use. The headphones will stay afloat with the Active Noise Cancellation feature (ANC) for 30 hours whereas switching it off should extend its battery life. Sony will be using power-efficient audio codecs such as AAC with the Sony WH-1000XM5 which is likely one of the reasons behind extended battery life.
