Sony announces BRAVIA 4K HDR BZ40H Series of Professional Displays

Sony is known for its stunning displays, especially for TVs and now the company turns its attention to professional-grade BRAVIA 4K HDR monitors. So, these 4K HDR displays share much in common 4K Smart TVs including an unknown dedicated SoC (with a processor as well as graphics).

The new models include 55-inch (FW-55BZ40H), 65-inch (FW-65BZ40H), 75-inch (FW-75BZ40H) and 85-inch (FW-85BZ40H) options that can be used in various B2B applications, according to Sony.

These monitors come with TRILUMINOS display technology, which is its standard of high-resolution displays and also features X-Balanced speakers. The Sony BZ40H series implements a number of Sony’s advanced AV technologies, including detailed 4K picture quality with 620-nit overall and 850-nit peak brightness with high contrast.

It has a thin and lightweight design and is optimized for commercial usage. The BZ40H series features an advanced IP network connection (wired/wireless LAN) and supports Crestron Connected, Extron IP Link system. For ports, it includes an Ethernet port, USB ports along ith HDMI 1 to 4-capable HDCP port.

Sony says users can create content utilizing HTML5 and publish it easily to manage up to 4K video, as well as contribute to visualized communication only by USB plug and play operation. The BZ40H series provides more than 100 REST APIs that can be integrated into external systems easily.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, Chromecast and AirPlay 2 features. It also comes with 10W + 10W dual speakers at the bottom. The FW-55BZ40H is the first model listed by Sony and can be a point of interest for commercial buyers.
