Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Movie breaks the records of its predecessor

In The Game Awards 2021, the most interesting fact was the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, it is the highly adventurous anticipated sequel of the 2020’s buddy trip and also reveals the world’s most popular hedgehog.

Now, SEGA  recently declared that the second Sonic the Hedgehog film just break the record of its predecessor’s as the top-grossing gaming adaptation ever at the box office. This Sonic the Hedgehog just collected $331.64 million all over the world, while the journey of the first instalment just ceased at $319.71 million just back in 2020.

The latest sequel dropped in theatres starting  31^st March in certain territories. In the US, the box office breakdown is $162.74 million in the US, and globally it is $168.9 million.

This new Sonic the  Hedgehog 2 just features James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, Be Schwartz as Sonic, Tika Sumpter as Maddie Wachowski, Natasha Rothwell as Rachel, Adam Pally as wade, Shemar Moore as Randall, Colleen O’Shaughnessy as Tails, Idris Elba as Knuckles, and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik.

The blue tail fox literally wins the hearts of everyone. The success of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 had been more than enough and already warrants another sequel as SEGA estimates to reveal up after 2023. It has knuckles and is also getting its own sequel in a TV series that is already set to air on Paramount+.
