When a director returns after eight years of silence, you pay attention. When that director assembles **four of South Korean cinema’s most respected names** for a single project, you clear your calendar entirely. *Possible Love (WT)* is Netflix’s most quietly loaded K-drama film of 2026 — and **Sol Kyung Gu** is at the centre of it all.

## 🎭 What Is Possible Love About?

Netflix’s official logline sets the stage beautifully — the film follows two married couples living completely opposite lives. When their worlds collide, cracks begin appearing in everything they thought was settled, stable, and certain.

It’s the kind of premise that [romantic drama](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_film) does best — not grand gestures or meet-cutes, but the slow, painful, revealing fractures that intimate proximity brings. Coming from director **Lee Chang Dong**, the man behind *Poetry* and *Peppermint Candy*, expect emotional depth over spectacle.

## ⭐ Why Sol Kyung Gu Makes This a Must-Watch

**Sol Kyung Gu** is arguably the most underappreciated titan in Korean cinema internationally — yet among Korean film lovers, he’s spoken of the same way people talk about Choi Min-sik or Song Kang-ho. With *Yaksha: Ruthless Operations*, *Kill Bok Soon*, and *The Whirlwind* already on his Netflix résumé, *Possible Love* could be the film that finally brings him the global recognition he’s long deserved.

He’s joined by an equally formidable cast. **Jeon Do Yeon** — Cannes Best Actress winner and star of *Kill Bok Soon* and *Crash Course in Romance* — brings an intensity that electrifies every scene she’s in. **Zo In Sung**, beloved for *Moving* and *Escape from Mogadishu*, makes his Netflix Original debut here. And **Cho Yeo Jung**, globally recognised since *Parasite*, rounds out an ensemble that simply has no weak link.

Director **Lee Chang Dong** hasn’t made a film since 2018’s *Burning* — making *Possible Love* his first project in eight years, and his Netflix debut.
