## ***SMAT 2025 Final : Mighty Mumbai Outclass RCB Star Rajat Patidar to Clinch SMAT 2025 Trophy***

### **Patidar’s Heroics Set a Competitive Target**

Coming into the final, **Madhya Pradesh** had high hopes of upsetting the title favorites, Mumbai. However, early cracks in their batting lineup put them on the back foot. **Venkatesh Iyer**, Madhya Pradesh’s dynamic all-rounder, failed to fire, leaving the team heavily reliant on their skipper, **Rajat Patidar**.

Patidar lived up to his reputation as the team’s backbone, smashing a brilliant lone-warrior **95 off 58 balls**, peppered with dazzling boundaries and sixes. His innings single handedly dragged MP to a competitive total of **174/6 in 20 overs**.

Despite Patidar’s best efforts, Madhya Pradesh struggled for partnerships, with Mumbai’s disciplined bowling attack keeping their lineup under control. Veteran pacer **Tushar Deshpande** and spinner **Shams Mulani** chipped in with timely wickets, ensuring MP didn’t run away with the game.

### **Mumbai’s Top Order Stumbles but Depth Prevails**

Mumbai’s chase didn’t begin on the brightest note, as **Prithvi Shaw** continued his poor run of form, departing for just 10 runs. The talented opener’s struggle throughout the tournament left Mumbai relying on their experienced middle order once again.

Veteran batter **Ajinkya Rahane** provided much-needed stability with a composed **37 off 30 balls**, anchoring the innings after Shaw’s dismissal. However, the chase wasn’t without hiccups, skipper **Shreyas Iyer** fell cheaply for 16, leaving Mumbai in a spot of bother at 70/3.

### **Suryakumar Yadav Steps Up in Style**

Enter **Suryakumar Yadav**, India’s T20I captain and Mumbai’s most trusted match-winner. Known for his flamboyant strokeplay and calm temperament under pressure, Suryakumar unleashed a crucial **48 off 35 balls**, including four boundaries and three towering sixes. His innings brought the required run rate under control and set the stage for the finishing flourish.

### **The Suryansh Shedge Show Seals It**

If Suryakumar Yadav laid the groundwork, it was **Suryansh Shedge** who stole the show with a breathtaking finishing act. Shedge, Mumbai’s in-form finisher with a strike rate of over 200 in the tournament, lived up to his reputation once again.
