In the second ODI, India won against Sri Lanka by four wickets on Thursday and is leading by 2-0. The hosts were chasing a target of 216 runs which they completed with 40 balls to spare. KL Rahul‘s 64* off 103 balls helped the men in blue reach 219 in 43.6 overs. On the other hand, Srilankan batter Nuwanidu Fernando smashed a half-century that helped the visitors post 215 runs in 39.4 overs. Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammad Shami’s three-wicket hauls restricted Sri Lanka to a modest total.

Sri Lanka vs India 3rd ODI: Match Highlights

The men in blue won their third ODI match against the island nation and won the three-match series as well. Sri Lanka came to bat first and was doing pretty well as they had 102 for 1 in the 17th over. Sooner, six of their wickets fell but the lower-order batters helped the team muster 215 runs till the 40th over. Kuldeep Yadav finished with a figure of 3 for 51 in his 10 overs. Mohammad Shami scalped three wickets too, giving 30 runs. India’s speed star Umran malik picked two wickets in the lower order. Debutant Nuwanidu Fernando smashed a half-century that helped the team get to their total. In the second innings, the Sri Lankan bowlers were hard on the Indian batters as the team got reduced to 86 for 4. Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul’s run stand of 75 kept them on track. Shubman Gill scored 21 runs off 11 balls. Pandya notched up 36 runs but got removed when 55 runs were still required. KL Rahul along with Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav made the team win.
