Skyesports Teams Up with LG UltraGear: A Landmark Collaboration to Elevate Gaming Experiences

India’s premier esports tournament organizer, Skyesports, has recently unveiled an exciting partnership with LG UltraGear™, the frontrunners in gaming monitor technology. This collaboration represents a significant leap in India’s esports landscape, demonstrating LG Electronics’ long-term dedication to enhancing gaming experiences.

LG UltraGear™ ties up with Skyesports as Title Partners for Major Esports Tournaments

LG UltraGear™ takes the limelight as the Title Sponsor for two esteemed tournaments: the Skyesports Champions Series (SCS), featuring the widely popular mobile game, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), and the much-awaited on-ground event, Skyesports Grand Slam in Pune, set to present international esports action in Counter-Strike 2.

Mr. Yoojae Kim, Vice President & Director, Division Leader, Business Solutions at LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., expressed his enthusiasm about this exclusive alliance with Skyesports, a trailblazer in India’s gaming and esports sector. He emphasized that this partnership not only highlights LG’s commitment to enriching gaming experiences but also aligns seamlessly with their mission of equipping gamers with state-of-the-art technology. Together with Skyesports, LG aims to fan the flames of gaming passion across India, nurturing a dynamic community and showcasing the capabilities of LG UltraGear monitors in the competitive gaming arena.

Shiva Nandy, the Founder and CEO of Skyesports, shared his excitement about partnering with LG UltraGear™ as the title sponsors for the upcoming Skyesports Grand Slam 2024 and the Skyesports Champions Series. He stated that this collaboration reflects their mutual pledge to push the boundaries of esports in India and offer gamers unparalleled gaming experiences. As Skyesports unveils its comprehensive 2024 esports roadmap, partnerships like these serve as a testament to the potential of their roadmap, which extends to Indian gamers and includes participation from international regions such as Australia and Europe.

The Skyesports Grand Slam will unfold in Pune, India from March 14 to 16 as part of the 6th India Gaming Show 2024, an international gaming, animation, and infotainment event organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The tournament will see four teams – one each from India and Australia, and two from Europe – locked in thrilling esports combat for the championship title and a share of the whopping $50,000 prize pool.

In addition, LG UltraGear™ will showcase its innovative monitors through an interactive booth at the India Gaming Show 2024, allowing attendees to plunge into the gaming world with cutting-edge displays.

Moreover, LG UltraGear™ will join the Skyesports Champions Series (SCS) as the Title Partner. Last year’s edition of this tournament attracted a remarkable 131,000 live concurrent viewers, making it one of the most-watched BGMI esports tournaments of 2023. With LG’s backing, an open-for-all format, and more thrilling content, this year’s tournament is poised to scale even greater heights.

The SCS 2024, boasting an impressive INR 10,00,000 prize pool, will see its semifinals play out from Feb. 27 to March 3 as the country’s top 24 squads compete for the 16 slots in the Grand Finals. The SCS Grand Finals will take place from March 5 to 10, where the 16 qualified teams will battle it out to be crowned the ultimate champions. As BGMI continues to enthrall audiences nationwide, the SCS offers an unmatched platform for gamers to display their skills and compete at the pinnacle of the sport.
