Skyesports brings the 2024 Counter-Strike 2 Roadmap with $1 Million Prize Pool

Skyesports, a leading esports tournament organiser in South Asia, has unveiled its ambitious 2024 roadmap for Counter-Strike 2, a highly competitive global game. The plan includes six global IPs with a total prize pool of $1 million, featuring a mix of international and Indian teams in both LAN events within India and internationally.

Skyesports announces 2024 Counter-Strike 2 Roadmap with six Global IPs and $1 Million Prize Pool

The roadmap follows the success of India’s first franchised esports league, the Skyesports Masters, with a prize pool exceeding $240,000 earlier in the year. Skyesports Founder and CEO, Shiva Nandy, highlighted the focus on talent development, global expansion, and sustainability for participating teams in the 2024 roadmap. The tournaments aim to introduce the world of Counter-Strike eSports to a broader audience.

The roadmap kicks off with the Skyesports Grand Slam in March, followed by the Skyesports Masters in May with a $350,000 prize pool. In July, the Skyesports Championship returns for its sixth edition with a $150,000 prize. The Skyesports Souvenir in Colombo, Sri Lanka, takes place in September with a $150,000 prize, followed by the Skyesports Global Tour in Bangkok, Thailand, with a $250,000 prize in October.

The year concludes with the Skyesports India vs Pakistan Series in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in December, featuring a $50,000 prize pool. The roadmap also includes support for grassroots-level collegiate and cafe events for Counter-Strike 2 in India.

Sashank Bhandaru, Head of Global Business Partnerships at Skyesports, emphasized the organization’s commitment to building long-term associations and stability in the Counter-Strike scene in India and beyond. The roadmap aims to create a truly global esports calendar, fostering partnerships with existing and new brands.

The summary of the Skyesports Counter-Strike 2 Roadmap in 2024 is as follows:

  • Skyesports Grand Slam: March 14 to 18 ($50,000) – India
