Skoda, however, quotes the least maintenance cost in the sub-4-meter compact SUV segment for the Kylaq at ₹0.24/km for its first 33,333 customers for five years. The Kylaq will be launched with an India-wide ‘Dream Tour’ to get in touch with customers. Three Kylaq SUVs will depart from the Chakan plant on December 13 on separate routes, passing through around 70 cities in 43 days. The tour wraps on January 25. Notably, the West-South route will touch cities like Pune, Kolhapur, Panaji, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

The West-North expansion will serve Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Delhi, while the East route will cover cities like Nashik, Nagpur, and Kolkata. Skoda did not reveal the KYLAQ’s motor but it is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI that makes 115bhp and 178Nm. Transmission choices will consist of a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT torque converter. The Kylaq has a maximum speed of 188kmph and a 0-100kmph time of 10.5 seconds with the manual gearbox.

Skoda Kylaq variants will consist of Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige, starting at ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Classic MT variant. The Signature MT is marked at ₹9.59 lakh, and the Signature AT is billed at ₹10.59 lakh. Prices for the Signature+ variants are ₹11.40 lakh for the MT and ₹12.40 lakh for the AT. The top-of-the-line Prestige variants are available at ₹13.35 lakh for the MT and ₹14.40 lakh for the AT. However, the entry-level Classic MT variant has already sold out, and it is no longer available for booking, although prospective customers can register their interest to book the variant once the 33,333 bookings are complete.
