## Fan Reactions: To Sequel or Not to Sequel?

The Sita Ramam fandom is split down the middle. While many are thrilled at the possibility of reuniting with their favorite characters, others worry that a sequel might dilute the original’s perfection. One X user cautioned makers not to touch the “gem” that is Sita Ramam, emphasizing that the first film’s beautiful ending needs no continuation.

## Why Sita Ramam Remains Unforgettable

The original film earned over ₹91 crore at the box office and developed a cult following for its period aesthetics, heartfelt performances, and soul-stirring music. Mrunal Thakur’s portrayal of Sita and Dulquer Salmaan’s charming Ram created magic that fans still cherish years later.

Director Hanu Raghavapudi crafted a complete narrative arc that felt satisfying without requiring additional chapters. This self-contained storytelling is what many fans fear might be compromised if a sequel is rushed into production without a worthy script.

## What’s Next for the Stars?

Both [Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salmaan](https://www.pinkvilla.com/entertainment/south/sita-ramam-did-you-know-pooja-hegde-was-1st-choice-sita-not-mrunal-thakur-dulquer-salmaan-starrer-1173426) have busy schedules with multiple projects lined up. Any potential collaboration would need to align with their packed calendars and, more importantly, require a script that justifies revisiting these beloved characters.
