Captain America has been in the MCU since 2011, yet Disney+ never gave him a Collection of his own. Seven years after launch, that gap has finally been fixed.

### Disney+ Snapshot

| Detail | Info |
| --- | --- |
| **New addition** | Captain America Collection (Marvel Studios banner on Disney+) |
| **Covers** | Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson and the animated *What If…?* variant |
| **Titles included** | 12 |
| **Streaming launch** | 2019, so the wait was about seven years |
| **Availability caveat** | Some Disney+ Collections vary by region |

### What’s Inside the Collection?

The lineup mixes movies, a series and behind-the-scenes extras:

| Type | Titles |
| --- | --- |

| **Series** | *The Falcon and The Winter Soldier*, *What If…?* |
| **Extras** | *Marvel Studios: Legends* and the *Assembled* making-of special |

The tile art shows the shield stuck in the ground with sparks flying, as if it had just been thrown.

### Which Collections Do Fans Want Next?

The Direct suggests several natural candidates:

- **Captain Marvel:** Brie Larson has appeared in six Marvel Studios projects.
- **Nick Fury:** Samuel L. Jackson has appeared from *Iron Man* (2008) to *Secret Invasion* (2023).
- **Marvel Spotlight:** currently *Echo* and *Wonder Man*.
- **Special Presentations:** *Werewolf by Night*, the *Guardians* Holiday Special and *The Punisher: One Last Kill*.

The outlet also points out that the Loki Collection, added in 2021, is reportedly available in the US but not in markets like the UK, without a clear explanation. Availability for Indian viewers isn’t mentioned, so check your own Disney+ app.

### Why It Matters?

Collections offer a way to explore the MCU without going through years of releases in order. They could act as built-in viewing guides for newcomers, and The Direct hopes more characters, including future ones like the X-Men and Ghost Rider, will get similar treatment. That’s the outlet’s wish rather than an announced plan.
