Shelah Mae Cadag is a Philippines international player too, having made six appearances with seven goals to her name. Before playing for Kaya–Iloilo, she started out at her college, playing for University of Santo Tomas in Manila.
Kaya went on to win their first ever league title in the presence of Cadang, and with her being named the most valuable player, it was a huge milestone for the young forward.
It now remains to be seen how she adapts to the conditions and the demands in India, where Women’s football is slowly growing into a very competitive league.
