Sheffield United are facing the worst start in the Premier League history. Sheffield United has lost 12 of their first 13 games in the league and now are bottom of the league with just 1 point.
Last night they lost against Manchester United by 3-2. Sheffield United took the lead in the 5th minute after a howler from Dean Henderson in his return to Bramall Lane. But Manchester United put another stunning comeback. Marcus Rashford scored a brace and Anthony Martial scored one for Manchester United. Sheffield United’s striker David McGoldrick scored the second for the Blades.
This is the worst start by any team in the top flight league of England. Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is on verge of losing his job. In an interview with BBC Sports, he said, “I’m happy with the manner of the performance. Tonight was about performance if I’m being honest, we needed one from the players and we asked some questions from some world-class players.”
“I am a free manager anyway, I don’t worry about what I can’t control. I don’t worry about my job. I keep coming into work and doing it to the best of my ability. There is a huge gulf, people don’t understand what Sheffield United are about when they talk about people’s futures.”
“I have been in the game long enough to know that that question will be asked. There is a story to every club and we accept that.”
Sheffield United will face Brighton tomorrow in the Premier League.
