Is a new Shatranj reboot hitting screens in 2026? Don’t believe the hype.

Despite viral rumors, no official projects exist. The title remains anchored in history, defined by Sunil Dutt’s 1969 drama and Satyajit Ray’s 1977 masterpiece, Shatranj Ke Khilari.

For now, this cinematic titan stays safely in the archives. Stay sharp—if it isn't officially announced, it’s just noise.
