‘Raanti’ is the Marathi adaptation of the acclaimed Kannada film ‘Ugramm’, which was directed by Prashant Neel, the visionary behind the blockbuster ‘KGF’. Neel later upgraded ‘Ugramm’ into a larger-scale project titled ‘Salaar’, featuring the popular actor Prabhas. The original film received significant attention and was dubbed in multiple languages, including Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi, achieving nationwide acclaim.

Stellar Cast and Characters

In ‘Raanti’, Shanvi Srivastava takes on the role originally portrayed by Hariprriya in ‘Ugramm’, a character later played by Shruti Haasan in ‘Salaar’. Speaking about her role, Shanvi expressed her excitement, saying, “I’m thrilled to take on this charged, unique character under Samit Kakkad’s powerful direction.”

Sharad Kelkar, known for his compelling performances, portrays the character known as “the most violent man,” a role previously depicted by Sriimurali and Prabhas in the original films. In an earlier interview, he stated, “Every actor dreams of a role like this, and I’m thrilled to have taken on this character.” Interestingly, Sharad Kelkar was also dubbed for Prabhas in the Hindi version of ‘Salaar’, adding a unique layer to his connection with this project.
