The Colombian superstar is set to conclude her *Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour* in Madrid, turning her final run of shows into a celebration of both her music and her roots.

The singer arrived in Spain on September 14, just days before her Madrid concerts begin. Her residency at the Spanish capital is scheduled to run from September 18 through October 11, with Madrid serving as her only European stop on the tour.

## Madrid Becomes Shakira’s Final Tour Destination

The upcoming Madrid residency will feature 12 dates, giving fans multiple opportunities to see the Colombian star perform live. However, the singer has planned something beyond her usual setlist and production for this special final stretch.

## A Taste of Barranquilla Arrives in Spain

For the first time in her career, Shakira will bring an official delegation from the Barranquilla Carnival to a concert outside Colombia on such a large scale.

More than 130 folkloric performers are expected to participate in the Madrid shows. The group includes musicians, dancers and directors representing traditional carnival comparsas.

The delegation has been coordinated in partnership with the Barranquilla mayor’s office, with the city government also directly supporting the initiative financially. Their presence is expected to add an unmistakable Colombian flavour to Shakira’s Madrid performances.

## Why the Barranquilla Carnival Matters

The Barranquilla Carnival holds a special place in Colombia’s cultural identity. The celebration brings together Indigenous, African and Spanish influences through vibrant music, traditional dances, colourful costumes and elaborate performances.

Its cultural importance has also received international recognition. UNESCO has designated the Barranquilla Carnival as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

By bringing more than 130 performers to Madrid, Shakira is doing more than adding a cultural segment to her concerts. The carnival delegation will be present throughout her 12-date residency, allowing audiences in Spain to experience an important part of Colombia’s heritage.

For Shakira, who was [born](https://technosports.co.in/)in Barranquilla, the decision makes her tour finale even more personal. As the singer prepares to close this major chapter in Madrid, she is ensuring that Colombia—and particularly the culture of her hometown—is right there with her.
