Some birthdays arrive with cake. Shah Rukh Khan’s arrived with a midnight song drop, a crowd outside Mannat and a message from Salman Khan that had the internet feeling nostalgic. Here is the full story, minus the noise.

## SRK Turns 61 on November 2

[Shah Rukh Khan](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shah_Rukh_Khan) marked his 61st birthday with the ritual fans wait for all year. He stepped out to greet the crowd gathered outside his Mumbai home, Mannat, dressed casually in a white T-shirt, denim, a beanie and spectacles. He acknowledged the cheers with waves and a heartfelt namaste, thanking fans for their love. Pinkvilla’s headline also highlighted his trademark pose, the one image everyone expects on this day.

## Salman Khan’s Wish Steals the Moment

Among the flood of greetings, Salman’s stood out. He posted on Instagram Stories, sharing the new *King* song and wishing his friend “hamesha jawaan raho,” a prayer for staying young forever. Fans loved it, because the two stars have long shared a warm, brotherly bond, and this felt like a throwback to their 90s camaraderie.

## SRK Replies in Classic Style

Shah Rukh didn’t let the moment pass quietly. He responded with a playful note, joking that he worked on his physique because of something Salman once said about a shirtless look, and signed off with love for his “bhai.” It was funny and warm, the kind of banter fans screenshot instantly.
