Jesus Corona is set to sign for Sevilla from Porto. The player’s contract expires in the summer, and he would have been able to walk out as a free agent upon the expiry of his deal.

Sevilla have agreed a cut price deal worth €3 million for the player, and he will sign for the Spanish side until June 2025. The contract is set to be signed in the coming hours according to Fabrizio Romano.

Jesus Corona join Sevilla

Signing the 29-year-old Mexican is a very smart transfer decision from Sevilla. They have a number of injuries to deal with at the moment, and the arrival of the winger will help them continue to challenge for the title as their players recover.

Erik Lamela joined the club this summer, and has been looking good for them, but is out for a few months due to injury. While Youssef En-Nesyri is back from injury, and has been remarkable for the team this season, he is representing Morocco in the AFCON.

Jesus Corona has been with Porto since 2015, and has since been one of their reliable options, making 286 appearances. He has scored 31 goals and provided 69 assists across all competitions, taking his goal tally to exactly 100 during his time with the Portuguese club.
