Services have won the 77th edition of the Santosh Trophy, defeating Goa 1-0 in the finals of the tournament. A solitary goal from Shafeel PP proved to be the difference maker, as they cruised to the win to earn their seventh title. On the other hand, Goa were defeated in their 15th appearance in a Santosh Trophy final.Â
Goa came very close to stealing an equaliser late in the game, but luck would not favour them as they were unable to beat the opposition keeper on the night. And they came up short against the better side in Arunachal Pradesh to crown the winner.
