Sergio Reguilon to be loaned out to Manchester United despite £27m bid

The Spanish left-back who had played a major role in Lopetegui’s squad to win UEFA Europa League is obviously set to return to his parent club Real Madrid. But it seems the French boss isn’t too convinced with his performance despite being voted La Liga’s best left-back last season. Now, previously Sport reported that he could either be loaned or sold to Manchester United and it seems true.

Zidane prefers his €47m spend on Ferland Mendy and Marcelo to stay yet another year but no to use the 23-year-old Spanish talent who is even preferred by Luis Enrique for the national team. Sport reported earlier that a decision will be made over his future as early as next week.

Now, the famous journalist, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the fact that the left-back is surely in Manchester United’s radar who wants to make the best young squad under Solskjaer. He says that that Man U even has the chance to sign Reguilon on a loan even though they have already offered a respectable £27m to sign him permanently.

So, it seems unclear whether Zidane doesn’t want to keep him for just a season or loan him with an obligatory buying clause. This will be a point of debate that will be solved in the coming days, however, Manchester United fans are excited about the arrival of Reguilon to Old Trafford even though other clubs like PSG, Juventus, Napoli, and Tottenham are ready to pounce on him, Man U seems the most likely destination for the young and talented Spanish left-back.
