Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has expressed his concern regarding India. The second wave of the virus has badly hit India. On Thursday, the country recorded around 386,000 cases and 3500 deaths.
On Friday, the Spanish international shared a link to the UNICEF website. He urged people to donate to help with the pandemic emergency in India. India is facing shortages of medical supplies, mainly oxygen. There are also not enough hospital beds in the country, and it would suffice to say the system has collapsed as the government didn’t take the necessary steps to contain the second wave.
Sergio Ramos, who also tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago, tweeted: “Deaths and infections continue to rise in India. UNICEF fears that India will become the country with the highest death rate among children under 5 in the world. They urgently need our help.”
Sergio Ramos is doing his bit to help India. We should all come forward and win this fight against the COVID-19 virus.
