Sergio Gomez is set to join Real Sociedad from Manchester City on a permanent deal, with the two clubs now in agreement over the terms of the transfer.
After only playing for 449 minutes across all competitions this past season, the 23-year-old is set for a return to Spain and hopefully become a regular for his new team.

Pep Guardiola has opted to field a backline consisting of four central defenders, with Josko Gvardiol or Nathan Ake occupying the left side of the defence. As a result, Sergio Gomez has seen very little playing time which was one of the primary reasons behind the push for a transfer away.
Roma and West Ham United were both keen on signing the left-back, but have been defeated in the transfer race by Sociedad.
The Spanish side will pay a fee worth €9 million for the former La Masia player, while City will have a 15% sell-on clause in the contract, alongside a buyback clause.
