Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets is expected to see through the rest of his contract with the club, which runs out at the end of the season. There were rumours that he could leave during the January transfer window, but they are not true as he wants to continue till the summer.

Several MLS clubs have been linked with his signature, with Inter Miami named among the possible suitors. However, nothing has been finalised as of yet with any club.

Sergio Busquets is expected to decide his future in the coming months, as it is expected that he will not continue with Barcelona beyond this season.

The guard is changing at Barcelona, with Gerard Pique retiring, Busquets set to leave at the end of the season, and Jordi Alba expected to follow suit. Younger players have been taking charge of matters on the pitch, with midfielders like Pedri and Gavi stepping up.

Barcelona could sign a new defensive midfielder as well, but have the likes of Frenkie De Jong, Franck Kessie and Pablo Torre also available to replace him.
