Barcelona captain Sergio Busquets is expected to leave the club at the end of the season. The player’s deal will run out next June, and he will be free to choose his next club.

Several clubs in the United States are pursuing his signature as of now. Inter Miami are one of the clubs interested in bringing him over next summer, and are working to agree a deal with him. But, they are not alone. Several other clubs are also pushing to sign the Spaniard on a free transfer.

Xavi has been insistent on keeping his former teammate at the club for the next season. But, the 34-year-old could soon be on his way out of his boyhood club for a new challenge towards the end of his career.

After graduating from the La Masia academy, Sergio Busquets has played 15 seasons with the first team. And over the course of the last decade and a half, he has won every trophy available with Barcelona.

He has not played for any other club throughout his career, and it will truly mark the end of an era once he decides to part ways with the Blaugranas. It now remains to be seen which club will end up persuading the midfielder to join next summer.
