Playing a character in disguise is tricky, because the line between convincing and caricature is thin. [Seol In Ah](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seol_In-ah) has now shared how she approached her undercover role in tvN’s new romance thriller **Love in Disguise**, and her answer is refreshingly smart.

## Love in Disguise: Drama Details

| Detail | Info |
| --- | --- |
| Drama | Love in Disguise |
| Network | tvN |
| Genre | Romance thriller |
| Leads | Seol In Ah, Yim Si Wan |
| Premiere | October 19, 2026 |
| Air time | 8:50 p.m. KST (5:20 p.m. IST) |

## The Story

The drama follows an **arrogant chaebol heir, Yoon Yi Jun (Yim Si Wan)**, who becomes a murder suspect. Meanwhile, **Kang Jae Hee (Seol In Ah)**, a detective with a strong sense of justice and a special forces background, goes undercover to investigate him. Her plan: disguise herself as a man and take a job as his executive assistant, a position that only hires men, according to Soompi’s report.

## How She Prepared?

Seol In Ah focused on behavior rather than looks. In her words, she didn’t try to “act like a man.” Instead, she asked herself what it would look like if **Kang Jae Hee** were disguising herself as a man. It’s a subtle difference, but it keeps the performance rooted in the character rather than in stereotypes.

| Preparation Area | What She Did |
| --- | --- |
| Physical training | Balanced action training with physical conditioning |
| Movement | Worked on natural, realistic motion |
| Details studied | Gait, center of gravity, sitting posture, hand use, how she scans her surroundings |
| Research | Watched videos and programs showing real trained professionals |

## Why This Approach Stands Out?

Because Kang Jae Hee is a former special forces operative, her movements need to look **trained**, and the disguise has to look practiced. By studying the way professionals actually move, Seol In Ah aims to make the character’s skills and her disguise feel believable. It also suggests the show will take its thriller side seriously, not just its romance.

## What to Expect?

An undercover premise, a murder suspect and a possible romance between the two leads make a promising mix. The report doesn’t reveal plot twists, so the story’s biggest surprises are still unknown.

## While You Wait

You can watch Seol In Ah in **Oh My Ghost Clients** on Viki before the premiere.
